Vortex was a roaring success

We have taken our trip through the Time Vortex into the world of Doctor Who, Torchwood and the Sarah Jane Adventures and returned with so many wonderful memories and stories to tell!
Vortex was an amazing day and we would like to say thank you to everyone who came along to see the props, displays and most of all our fantastic guest stars Gareth David Lloyd, Paul Mark Davis and Chipo Chung. You made them feel so welcome during the Q&A, autograph session, photo session and Ianto’s Coffee Club Meet & Greet. They enjoyed every minute they spent with you, the fans.
It has taken many months to prepare this event and we are delighted that all our hard work paid off. The Daleks, Tardis, Empty Child, K-9 and Lady Cassandra went down a storm and we saw so many people having their photos taken with them. Our Ood and Clockwork Droid spent the day walking around the event meeting all the children and families. We hope you liked having the chance to experience what its like to be at the controls of the Tardis on our stage set and thank you to everyone who came up to take a photo and gave a donation to the Children’s Hospice to do so.
The Weakest Link and Fancy Dress were hilarious and we hope you enjoyed the entries as much as we did and congratulations to the Fancy Dress winners for all the hard work they put in to their costumes. The Dalek and mini Cyberman where so cute! And well done to the winners of our Weakest link games.

Denis and Thomas, thank you SO much for such an amazing day. It was, in all honesty, the very best convention I have been to, and I have travelled to a few in my time. A huge thanks to all the volunteers too. You all made the event run very smoothly (at least it looked that way from the outside!!)
Thank you for bringing us the adorable Gareth David Lloyd, the sweet and utterly terrific Chipo Chung, but most of all, for the unrivalled wonder that is Paul Marc Davis! I think he may actually be my new favourite person in the world. The Q&As were brilliant (and I actually got up the nerve to ask questions at both Paul and Chipo’s and Gareth’s, woo!) and I don’t think I’ve ever laughed as hard did with Paul, not just during the Q&A but during all our encounters throughout the day.
The coffee club was so amazing, it was such a great opportunity to chat with these wonderful actors on a more personal basis, and we got to talk about all sorts, the only downside was that the time seemed to pass way too quickly! We didn’t want to let them leave! The giant cookies were kind of crazy though… I only got through half of mine before admitting defeat. =)
I really didn’t want to leave when it came time to go to catch my bus, I was having such a great time at the party. I can’t wait for the next Dr Who event (and please get Paul again! We love him!) and I shall certainly see you all there!

I just want to say thank you for a fantastic day! It was so brilliant to meet everyone and you all should be very proud of yourselves! I can’t wait for the next Who event! One last thing,I really appreciated you changing the Raffle prize and my daughter absolutely loved the cards. So,once again,thank you for an amazing day!

we had a fantastic day my son gave it a thousand out of ten, that’s how good it was can’t wait until the next one. I am telling everyone about it, now everyone I know wants to go, you will be sold out very quickly next time. it was so funny to see the ood and the clockwork droid dancing, the whole day was organized brilliantly and the tardis was a credit to the brillant builder, can you make me one along with a dalek and k9 please.

That was the best day of my life. When is the next one on because I can’t wait to go. The guest were fantastic especially Paul.
